I’m working away on a story called, One More Time. I am getting very close to being finished with it and hope by the middle of the month I will have it finished. I’m excited about this story as I really liked writing it.
After that, it’s on to Leo’s story for Sutter’s Bay 4, which I hope to have finished by the end of May (when I am tentatively planning a little excursion trip to Boston). Poor Leo doesn’t have a title yet but hopefully I’ll be inspired for that soon.
In other news, the first six “His” stories will be gathered together in a paperback collection from Amber Quill, coming out sometime in May. As an ebook author it’s sometimes pretty cool to see your name on a paperback. I’m of an age where when I was younger that’s all there was, so having a nice little glossy package to hold in your hands is a “squee” moment.

Weekly News
I've been busy, so I have some news.
I completed my ghost story, Lost Between, and submitted it with the forms to AQ. It's scheduled for July 10, 2011 and will be part of the A Ghostly Affair Pax.
This means Hitting it Big has been scheduled for the very last day of July, July 31. It's a very short story, might be my shortest yet.
Also, the first three Sutter's Bay stories will be out in paperback at the end of August, simply titled Sutter's Bay, Volume One.
Now...on to the next work in progress.

A Brief Update
Yes, I am supposed to be working on my vacay story, The Way to Forever. But I'm not. I'm working on Becoming His and I believe I will have it done by this coming Saturday. That's my plan.
Look for details of a contest later. I don't know what I will do yet. But something will be done as I have Accidentally His coming out later this month.

What Was I thinking?
A few things.
I have named my Postcards From Paradise story, The Way to Forever. This is the one where Billy goes to Ireland on vacation and meets the man of his dreams.
I’m currently working on Becoming His. This story is related to Accidentally His in that two secondary characters from the upcoming Accidentally His get their story in Becoming His. I’ve already got over 8,000 words done on the story and hope to get it done and into the schedule in the not too distant future.
Which also brings me to the news that I will be doing a new series for Amber Allure. I’ve been given the go ahead on the series and Accidentally His and Becoming His are the first two in the series. If I do it right I should have as many as 26 stories. Each “His” story will have a title that will begin with a letter of the alphabet. Quite clearly A and B will be the first two, lol.
I doubt all stories in the series will be directed related to Accidentally His and Becoming His. Meaning by the time the series is finished I doubt there will be six degrees of separation from all the cast of characters.
As you can imagine some letters will be more challenging than others so if anyone has suggestions for the following letters please feel free to send them my way via my email of authorshawnlane@gmail.com. Q, V, X, Y and Z. You would be richly rewarded if you suggest the ultimate title for those letters.

Galaxy's Heart, Sutter's Bay 3 and Other News
I have finished the third Sutter's Bay story, Galaxy's Heart. Yes, ahead of the end of February. I was determined.
I've got a release date of May 15, 2011. So, that is good news.
I'm now moving on to my Postcards From Paradise story which will take my hero, Billy, to Ireland on vacation. The tentative title is The Way to Forever. That's subject to change.
