Cover for The Gift of Casey coming December 10, 2016

Here is my fabulous cover for my upcoming Christmas short story, The Gift of Casey, coming December 10, 2016.

How great is that?

And here's the blurb:

Casey Mackenzie unexpectedly finds himself in need of a “boyfriend” for his Thanksgiving dinner. For several months, Casey has been putting off family questions and invites with talk of his boyfriend “George”. Only now they actually expect to meet George at the holiday dinner.

George Accardo is Casey’s sexy neighbor who also happens to be an actor Casey once had a rather drunken rendezvous with. Casey has avoided George ever since. Until now.

Casey offers George fifty bucks to pretend to be his boyfriend for the duration of the Thanksgiving dinner. George has been intrigued by Casey since their first meeting but gave him space when Casey freaked. He accepts the job though Casey assures him intends for them to “break up” before Christmas.

Casey finds himself still charmed by George as Christmas approaches.

Maybe this Christmas, love will be real and George’s gift will be Casey.

Love Is Proud Anthology

I'll be participating in this anthology coming out on July 30, 2016

My story is basically just a scene from two lovers, Jared, a firefighter and Tommy, a nurse, already in a relationship who have had a fight, It's about 2000 words and is called Coming Home to You. I, of course, will be making no money from the antho (nor will any other authors) as it will be donated to those affected by the Pulse tragedy. It's a good cause and my little story is just a sweet slice of the life of this couple. Hope you will consider grabbing a copy when when it comes out.

California Dreaming

A few weeks ago I finished my story, California Dreaming. It was my first new story in a while and actually a story I had started some time ago but then never got around to finishing. When AQ went out of business earlier that sprung me into action with California Dreaming and I began working on it in earnest. I completed it and sent it off to Loose Id for consideration a few weeks ago and today received a contract offer. I am so excited by this story as I truly love my characters, Mick and Zach. I hope you will too. I will post more about the story later in the year. I anticipate it won't be out from Loose Id before November or so.

13 Shawn Lane Stories to be Re-Released

I'm pleased to say that I've found a home for 13 more of my stories. They are being re-released over the next several months through JMS Books, beginning with them being exclusive to Amazon Kindle Select for three months before being released through other distributors.

The titles coming soon for this (and I'll advise more info when I have it) are:

The Beach House
The Sutter's Bay series which included, Sweet Reunion, Twice in a Lifetime, Galaxy's Heart, Finding Forever, and Tempted to Taste
Maybe This Time
Ticket to Ride
Pieces
And the Only series: Only in His Dreams, Only For Him, Only His Heart and His One and Only.

I'm pretty excited about being able to have so many of my stories available again.

I'll update as I have information.

Shawn Lane Updates

So the latest news from me is the following:

At Long Last: Scott & Preston comes out in exactly one week from Loose Id. This is the combination of both At Long Last and Until the End of Time. Some editing has been done on this work to change a few things, but the story is essentially the same.

Most Likely to Succeed has been contracted with Loose Id and is in the very first stages of edits. I don't have any release information on it yet.

Finally His, probably my most popular His story, has found a new home with JMS Books. I signed the contract today and am excited to be working with JMS Books for the first time. I don't have an exact release date but I believe it will be this summer in July.

So that's the latest release information.

I am working on a new story that I suspect is about 1/2 to 3/4 done. Once I do have it finished, hopefully by the summer, I'll see where it will go.

At the moment I still have no immediate plans to self-publish but that could change

Release Dates and Progress

Okay looks like we are looking at May 03, 2016 as the re-release of At Long Last and Until the End of Time with Loose Id. I wouldn't say the story has substantially changed but I have made a few revisions. Anyway, that's the latest on that.

I am working on an untitled story at the moment and am making progressing, slowly, but surely. I originally hoped to have it done by the end of March but that's just not going to happen.
