No News Tuesday

Well I wish I had news to report but I do not. I am in limbo mode at the moment.

Waiting on cover art, contract offers, releases, news of bff. Just waiting.

Well, that isn't entirely true. I did hear from Jack this morning and Shayne is still quite sick. They had to increase his medicine. Hopefully he will improve very soon.

I got about 600 words or so done yesterday on His One and Only which takes me past 6000 words. Since the story will be at least twice that you can see I still have my work cut out for me. Fortunately I don't have any specific deadline for this but of course the sooner I can finish the sooner I can get a release date and the series will be concluded. I'll have the four stories in print at that point or shortly thereafter for anyone interested.

I've had mostly positive reaction from Only in His Dreams. As I said I think Barnaby will end up being quite popular when his book comes out next month. I have two coming in April so that's pretty cool.

Other than that, I am afraid I am boring today.

  1. I'm don't understand why anyone would not love Only in his dreams. It's a great book, Shawn, and the series only promises to get better:)
I hate to hear that Shayne's feeling worse. Chris isn't improving either.
    Have a great day:)

  2. Thanks Andi(S).

Well ya know no book (or movie or tv show or appliance lol) is universally loved so I am not too concerned.

Yeah I was wasn't happy to hear about my Shayster either. And I'm likewise sorry to hear about Chris. Hopefully both of them will get better soon.

  3. Shawn, ignore those folks who don't fall in love with your writing. They're just jealous of your awesome talent. :)

Thanks for the update on Shayne. I hate that he's so sick.

Andi, I hope Chris gets well soon.

  4. Thanks Eyre

    I'm really not concerned, promise.

Yeah I am concerned about my Shay. Jack is keeping his eye on him though.

  5. Shawn,

Hopefully the new med dosage will be strong enough that Shayne will turn the corner and start recovering.

Don't know Chris either, but hope he, too, gets better quickly.

You know, they say those that can't do something, complain. You write will and those that constantly find something wrong with it, are more than likely would-be writers or folks that are not happy unless they are complaining about something. The only complaint I have about In His Dreams is it was too short. It was a great story and I am just greedy for more, :) Not a bad thing.

  6. Thanks, S.

Like I said, no worries. It wasn't anything. Just the usual low ratings. I'm totally cool with it. I know I have lots of readers who enjoy my work.

Yeah, some day I'll force myself to write a longer book. Don't know when. The good news is Only in His Dreams was shorter than Only For Him and Only His Heart
