I'm Babbling

As some of you may or may not remember, I was going to try to have Only In His Dreams done by the middle of November. Take a look at your calendar and you will see that it's almost here. Is Only In His Dreams completed? Only in MY dreams, lmao. Alas, not even close.

I blame my free stories, of course. I've been devoting my limited writing time to those. I'm happy to do so, but it does take away from other stories. Especially this time of year. Every weekend between now and the end of the year has something planned. Imagine that.

All is not lost of course. Besides my free stories this month and Kevin's Perfect Christmas next month, I have two Amber Quill books out. Ticket to Ride (I can't wait to see what my readers think of this one, especially since I personally think the love scenes are some of my best), and of course, my sweet little Christmas story, The Best Gift. I'll be doing giveaways for both books so stay tuned.

I would like to have Only In His Dreams done by the end of November but if I am realistic with myself it's going to be tough. I still have work on the free stories, Thanksgiving is coming, I'm going away for several days. Well, you get the picture. I shall try though because I really want to get it submitted.

Next year I really need to get organized and work on stories in order and stop letting myself get distracted. Easier said than done. Only last night I was talking to Shayne and he suggested a new story for me and my mind was going...hmm. lol. Big help that Shayne.

I don't know if I have officially said so but part of the plans for 2010 is a co-authored story between myself and Ava March. We went back and forth on historical versus contemporary. Ava kind of wanted to try a contemporary, but I kind of liked the idea of her helping me keep the historical accurate, if that makes sense. It does to me. Anyway, ultimately we decided on the historical. We have the premise and the characters thought of but no title. I'm sure you will hear more from us as we develop the story.

  6. I'm super geeked about writing a book with Shawn. She's so fabulous and talented (and an awesome friend, too). I can't wait until we can start writing it. As for the title - Shawn's the queen of cool titles, so likely the title will come from her. ;)
