Most Likely to Have a Successful Holiday, Part 2

Clark heard the sound of the bedroom door opening and he smiled. Thomas had obviously finally gotten out of bed. He heard Thomas’s bare feet pad across the hardwood floor and then stop just inside the entrance to the kitchen where Clark stood stirring a pot, his back to Thomas.

“Oh, my God, is that giblet gravy I smell?”

Clark laughed and turned to face his lover. Thomas’s dark hair stood on end every which way. He wore only a pair of pajama bottoms. His torso had a couple of hickies. One beneath his left nipple and the other on the right side just above his stomach. He grinned and placed a quick kiss on Thomas’s lips.

“You do indeed.”

Thomas inhaled. “Man, am I glad I had the brains to fall for someone who can cook like you. Damn.” He yawned. “Why didn’t you wake me? I would have helped.”

Clark thrust a mug of steaming coffee into his lover’s outstretched hands. “No offense, babe, I don’t want you to hurt yourself. Or me.”

“I’m not that bad,” Thomas protested, taking a sip of his coffee.

“Anyway, you had a rough night.” Clark waggled his eyebrows at him.

Thomas blushed. “I saw the marks too, thank you very much. Asshole.”
He laughed unrepentantly and turned off the heat under the gravy.

“So, what can I do? Want me to set the table or something?”

“Yeah, but not until after.”

“After?” Thomas frowned.

“I have plans for the dining room table.” Clark took the mug from Thomas and set it on the kitchen counter. “Come on.” He grabbed Thomas’s hand and pulled him into the dining room where their large mahogany dining room table was. He eyed the sliding glass doors to the backyard. Right now the blinds were closed, but…

Thomas stiffened in his grasp and shook his head. “Oh, no, you aren’t thinking what I think you are. Are you?” Clark grinned. “Oh, shit. You are. Damn it, we can’t do it there. It’s Thanksgiving.”

“You’ll wash it after and besides, I have a Thanksgiving tablecloth to put on the table.” Clark pulled him close and nuzzled his ear. “No one will know. Well, unless someone sees us.”

“No way.” Thomas turned bright red. “Even if we do, those blinds are staying closed, Clark.”

“How about only partially open?” He went to the strings and opened the slats just a bit. “Would that work for you?”

Thomas sighed and hugged himself. “You are incorrigible.”

“That’s why you love me.”

“Nah, I love you in spite of it.” He shook his head, then smiled. “I’ll get the lube.”

Clark glanced at the clock, saw they still had plenty of time before their guests arrived, and quickly went into the kitchen to see that all his dishes were progressing nicely.

Back in the dining room, he pulled off his navy shirt and set it on one of the chairs. Thomas returned with the lube, which he tossed at Clark, and sans pajama bottoms. Clark stared openly, his mouth hanging open at the sight of Thomas’s hard cock jutting out between his thighs. The lube went flying behind him and into the wall.

“Pay attention, counselor.” Thomas laughed and bent down to pick up the lube, purposely turning his ass to Clark.

Clark growled and pulled that perfect round ass against his own crotch. “A tease, huh?”

Thomas wiggled, pushing back. “I guess so.”

Clark’s arms ensnared Thomas’s waist, grabbing him hard and rough. He pushed him toward the table and face down on to it. He groped the magnificent cheeks, kneading and spreading them, even while he knelt on the floor and positioned himself at the perfect angle for his tongue to slip inside.

“Oh, God, Clark,” Thomas gasped when Clark’s tongue darted in. He gripped the edges of the table and spread his legs farther apart.

He closed his eyes, liberally wetting Thomas with his probing tongue. The swell of his achingly hard cock pressed against his jeans reminded him of his own clothing. Keeping one hand on Thomas’s thigh, he reached down and unsnapped his button-down fly. He crept his hand inside and cupped his erection.

“Clark, please.”

He slapped the firm cheek, the palm landing with a loud smack. Thomas moaned. Clark withdrew his tongue, but flicked it quickly around the opening before asking, “What is it you want, Thomas?”

“You, now, fuck me,” Thomas panted out.

Clark stood up and slid his pants down his legs. He reached for the lube, squirted out a generous amount, and coated his cock. The sight of a naked and spread Thomas on the dining room table nearly made his come.

After slipping in lubed fingers to prepare Thomas more fully, Clark lined up and pushed inside. He stilled a moment, letting his lover adjust to his penetration. Clark rested his hands on the table, willing control.

“Ready?” Did that growled word come from him?

“Uh.”

Clark decided that was as close to a yes as Thomas was going to give him. He withdrew to just the tip and then plunged forward, moving his hands from the table to Thomas’s hips.

Shifting slightly on the table, Thomas went to reach for his cock to stroke it.

“No, don’t.”

“Clark.”

“Shh. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you.” He slammed in again and again. He knew it wouldn’t take long to pull the orgasm from him as he’d been on the brink since getting up that morning. Thomas did that to him. He glanced at the partially opened blinds where he could just see the grass of the back yard. His thrusts sped up as the base of his spine tingled and his balls tightened. With a roar he could not contain, Clark poured into his lover.

He allowed himself only a moment to lay stretched across Thomas’s back before he reluctantly withdrew. He owed his lover relief.

“Can you turn over?” Clark murmured.

Thomas scooted off the table and turned over. His eyes were hazy with lust and his face a flushed pink. He was so hot.

Clark helped him to sit on the edge of the table once more and then he knelt before him and engulfed his lover’s cock to the root.

“Ah, God,” Thomas rasped out. His ass lifted off the table as he pushed his dick down Clark’s throat. He knew from Thomas’s whimpers it wouldn’t be long. He cupped his lover’s balls and squeezed. “Clark!” Thomas shuddered and came in Clark’s mouth.

A short time later, Clark pulled Thomas close, wrapping his arms tightly around him. He thought of the other surprise he had for Thomas for when after their guests were gone and he couldn’t keep the excited grin from his lips. “I love you.”

“Love you, too.” Thomas snuggled against him.

Clark tilted his chin up and kissed him long and thoroughly. “We’d better get cleaned up.”

Thomas laughed. “And clean this up before the guests get here. I can’t believe you talked me into that.”

Most Likely to Have a Successful Holiday, Part One

“Thomas Harrigan.” He shifted the receiver under his chin and onto his shoulder, scrolling down his list of emails. He could have hit speaker phone, but he truly hated putting callers on speaker. Too rude as far as he was concerned.

“Hey, Tommy,” his best friend, Matt, said.

“Matt, how’s it going?” Thomas glanced at the time on the bottom of the computer screen. It was already after five-thirty. Where had the time gone?

“I can’t believe you’re still at the office the night before Thanksgiving. I left hours ago. Listen, we were wondering what time we should come over tomorrow. I don’t think you ever said.”

“Um,” Thomas paused, at a loss. Clark hadn’t told him either. “Hold on a second, I’ll ask Clark.” He hit hold and then punched the button for Clark’s line.

“Clark Sterling,” his lover’s deep, tired voice answered.

“It’s me.”

“Oh. What’s up?”

Thomas frowned. Clark sounded distracted and exhausted. “Everything okay?”

“Oh, yeah, just got a case that’s bugging me.”

“Anything I can help with?” Thomas wondered.

“No, I just want to get some things done before the long weekend. What’s up?” Clark asked again.

“Matt called and wondered what time he and Josh should come over tomorrow.”

“Hmm. Probably around two. That’s what time Patty and the kid are coming.”

“Sounds good. Thanks.”

“No problem.”

Thomas opened his mouth to tell Clark he loved him but a loud dial tone in his ear indicated the man had already hung up. He rolled his eyes and went back to Matt’s call.

“Two. Is Josh still bringing his famous pecan pie?”

“Definitely. He’s making it right now. My mouth is already watering. All right, Tommy. Don’t work too hard and I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Goodnight.” Thomas set down the receiver and yawned. He already knew judging by the short conversation with Clark he wouldn’t want to leave anytime soon. Unfortunately, Thomas wanted to leave now. Driving to work together could be a big time pain in the ass.

Still, Thomas had done everything he needed to do for the day, so he shut down his computer and stretched. He happened to know there was a plush leather couch in Clark’s outer office. If he could get past the gargoyle guarding Clark’s office he would take a nap while he waited for his lover.

He rose and left his office, clicking off the light as he exited. He quickly noted the office was quiet, most of the admin assistants and his fellow attorneys having high-tailed it out of there long before. Figured he had to be in love with Clark “Workaholic” Sterling.

As long as he’d worked at the Law Offices of Clark Sterling and Associates, Clark’s old secretary had been a thorn in his side. She protected Clark like she was the mother bird. Even after Thomas moved in with Clark she acted like Thomas was an intruder.

He smiled in relief when he saw the empty chair at the gargoyle’s desk. Agnes had gone home! He opened the door to Clark’s outer office, stared hopefully at the closed door to his main office, then sighed and made a beeline for the big leather sofa.

Really, five-thirty was not late for them. One day last week, Thomas had been grateful he’d taken his own car, because Clark hadn’t arrived at their suburban home until almost ten o’clock that night. He’d only agreed to share the car today because he naively hoped Clark would want to get out of the office early for Thanksgiving.

He’d known Clark was a driven man when he applied at the firm. He had liked that about a potential boss. It sometimes sucked when that driven man was your lover.

He removed his coat and flung it on a nearby chair and loosened his tie. As he closed his eyes, he hoped maybe they’d get out of there by seven.

Thomas’s eyes fluttered open when a kiss landed on his nose. He blinked, clearing the foggy haze from his mind. Clark’s handsome blond head peered down at him, a big smile on his face.

“Hi, sleepyhead.”

Thomas returned the smile. “Hi, yourself.” He struggled to sit up. Clark knelt beside the sofa. “What time is it?”

Clark had the grace to look a bit sheepish. “Almost seven-fifteen. I’m sorry, babe. I really wanted to get that work done so I wouldn’t have to bring work home with me over the holiday. Forgive me?”

“That depends.”

A blond brow shot up. “On?”

Thomas grinned. “How you plan on making it up to me.”

“Believe me, I have plans for you. I want this to be your best Thanksgiving ever.” Clark winked and stood up. He reached down and pulled Thomas up from the couch. “But for now, let’s get the hell out of here. I don’t even want to think of this place for four days.”

Thomas picked up his coat. “Sounds like the perfect Thanksgiving.”

Clark’s answering grin was wicked. “Oh, you’re going to be grateful much of the weekend. Trust me.”

My BFF and Thanksgiving Stories

The first part of my post today is to say how very unhappy I am that my dear bff, Shayne (most of you know my Shayster), has been sick for so long. He contracted the H1N1 virus shortly before Halloween and because of a weakness in his lungs (one that he and I share), he's had a difficult time getting better. So if everyone could keep him in their thoughts and prayers for him to be feeling better very soon I would really appreciate it.

I hope everyone will enjoy this week's free story, A Sweet Thanksgiving, featuring Jason and Danny from Sweet Reunion. I know their story was out more recently then some other stories that didn't get chosen but I felt like they deserved something a little more positive then their HFN ending. I hope you'll enjoy the next two parts of the story.

Next week is a head's up for the free story. It's Most Likely to Have a Successful Holiday. This features Clark and Thomas from Most Likely to Succeed. If you haven't read their story yet now may be your chance to get to it before next week. Clark is a favorite of mine since he has a slightly naughty side. It may also interest you that to date Most Likely to Succeed is my best seller at Amber Quill (it was a former #1 seller there) AND at All Romance Ebooks (made it to #4 on the the best seller list for their site). Not that I am trying to influence you to read it if you haven't or anything, lol.

Jake and Damian Are Feeling the Love

Thanks everyone for stopping by this week for Damian's Feast. My former football players are feeling the love.

It's no secret that Jake has been somewhat perceived by some readers as being weak for his actions in Jake's Regret. I never thought of him that way and I know from speaking with some readers they didn't either. So those of you that choose to read Jake's Regret after reading the Thanksgiving story, I hope you like it. It's a little angsty.

Anyway, tomorrow is the conclusion of Damian's Feast.

Monday I will post part one of A Sweet Thanksgiving, which features Jason and Danny from Sweet Reunion.

Monday, November 16, I will post part one of Most Likely to Have a Successful Holiday, which features Clark and Thomas from Most Likely to Succeed.

And the final full week of November, Monday, November 23, I will post At Long Last Thanksgiving featuring Preston and Scotty from At Long Last.

Sometimes I wonder how I get myself into these things, lol.

And by popular demand, Kevin from Car Wash along with his beau, Michael, and their friends, Noah and Charlie from Pulling Away, will appear in December for a Christmas themed story. Don't yet know the exact date.

Thanks for your support.

Until Next Week...

Happy Halloween!

I'm going out of town for a few days.

I'll be going to San Diego. For those of you who have never been there you are missing out. Beautiful, wonderful place. Hopefully, you will all think of me on Sunday and how I am sitting in Qualcomm Stadium watching the San Diego Chargers. Let's cross our fingers that they win.

I am not taking the laptop this time and therefore will have no access to the internet. None. This is hard for me, let me tell you. I go through withdrawls. This means no Sunday Night Eye Candy.

I won't be back until Monday night, so I hope to post Part one of Damian's Feast (Jake and Damian's Thanksgiving story) on Monday night. If not, for sure Tuesday morning.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

My Decision

So, I have made a decision on the free November stories. I know I said I was going to wait for the whole month for voting but since it seems to have pretty much died anyway, I'm going to announce my decision.

November is made up of four weeks and since I gave you the choice of four couples I have decided to feature all of them in their own free short story.

Week 1) Damian's Feast featuring Jake and Damian
Week 2) A Sweet Thanksgiving featuring Jason and Danny
Week 3) Most Likely to Have a Successful Holiday featuring Clark and Thomas
Week 4) Thanksgiving At Long Last featuring Scott and Preston

So I hope you will come back each week to read the stories. Most likely they will be posted over a few days rather than all on one day.

Now, for the first week, I am going to be out of town October 31, 2009-November 02, 2009 (Go San Diego Chargers--I am going to their game) and I will try to get the first part of Damian's Feast posted on the evening of November 02, but it might end up being November 03.
